The 2023 Winter Program is open to 6th-8th grade participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program is offered free to the community and supported by generous sponsorship and partnership from the community.
Dates & Times
Saturday, February 11th - Saturday, April 1st
Classes begin at 10 am and conclude at 12:30 pm
This is an in-person program for 6th-8th grade students
hosted by The Hyde Park Arts Center
The program runs for 8 weeks and participation is mandatory for the best possible experience for all participants.
Life Lessons: Anger & Conflict Management (In Person)

In Session 1 of a 4-session curriculum covering 8 modules, our first cohort will work with the instructor to define anger emotions, role-play different types of anger in conflict situations. Students will learn how to control anger and understand why expressing it in a negative way can damage relationships and increase conflict.
Art Project: The Session will also include an art project that assists in role-playing and offers a creative outlet to the experience. The Hyde Park Art Center will generously provide materials for the project.
