United Way and United Way of Metro Chicago are hosting a virtual event in Celebration of Community Voices tomorrow (June 17th) morning from 8:30 - 9:30 am (CDT). It is not too late to register. A zoom link will be provided in a reminder email before the event.
From their site:
Join us as we celebrate community voices this Juneteenth. Moderated by social justice artist and creator of the Folded Map Project Tonika Lewis Johnson, this free virtual event will feature Chicago-area community leaders who are members of United Way of Metro Chicago’s inaugural United Neighborhoods Equity Fund cohort.
As Black and Latinx leaders of small, local nonprofits, they will share their stories of driving positive change in historically disinvested neighborhoods. We invite you to join us for what is sure to be a moving and thoughtful conversation.
