Institute of Financial Development for Teens (IFDT) is a program to support teens who demonstrate an interest and commitment for acquiring financial independence.  Students of the IFDT are exposed to a variety of learnings, skills, resources, and networks that will prepare teens for financial independence as adults.

 

IFDT Curricula includes financial literacy, workforce development urban garden internship, digital literacy, investment club.    

 

During the investment club, IFDT students work in groups to research an investment venture as their capstone project.  The program will conclude with a graduation where students will present their investment venture a the invest-a-tank challenge.

Student who successful complete the IFDT program will be equipped with the tools to make effective and informed money management decisions, that will help them to chart a positive course crucial to helping them grown into adults who can achieve financial security and success.
